This patch was originally framed with a group of photographs, and these pieces were all mounted on a red velvet background. It appears the patch was attached to the cloth with spray mount for framing. The photos were removed and you can see where the photos were attached to the cloth. The patch itself is clean, bright and fresh; it was under glass until these photos were taken.

    Offered for auction is a rare item: this is a very large embroidered clothing patch depicting the Academy Awards Oscar statue.
    This piece about 20 inches tall. About 8 inches wide at base. Embroidery was created in metallic gold, yellow, golden yellow and black. It was inside a frame and under glass until these photos were taken, so it’s in clean, flat condition. Currently the patch is glued with what I'm pretty sure is spray mount, on red velvet fabric, and fabric is glued to thin wood backing. The patch could probably be removed from the fabric, but I’ll leave that to the new owner. Sold as is/as found. An amazing, eye catching piece to add to any collection!
