† Ryan Giggs was the only player that night from the 1999 MU team that won the Red Devils’ second European Cup (then already known as Champions League) in the 1999 Final at Barcelona. He scored the last goal in the 2008 Final. It was Giggs’ 759th appearance for Manchester United, eclipsing the long-held record of 758 appearances set by Sir Bobby Charlton.
